Welcome to Soviet Gallery! 

We are a topic-oriented Gallery concentrating on the Arts and Culture of the Post-Soviet Countries and Regions located in Izmir/ Alsancak.

Şükrü Özçevik
"We - We were born as a synthesis, as a result of the contrast between the thesis of the west and the antithesis of the east."

Soviet Gallery presents Şükrü Özçevik, a young and upcoming artist, photographer, and filmmaker from Izmir who sees himself as a typical child of the Y-Generation in Turkey. Grown-up in what he calls "Synthesis" from Eastern and Western Culture. 

In his Exhibition, he tries to unveil the different cultural layers that are presented in the nowadays Turkish culture. 

The exhibition will be accompanied by performances, film, and concerts.
